Digital Classes and Computer Laboratories.

Bridging the digital divide and integrating ICT into education requires much more than purchasing equipment.

This requires increasing the knowledge and skills of students using technology and access to digital tools. In such a vast system of change, technology can act as a catalyst to increase students learning and training.

Computer skills and internet access are increasingly needed to participate in learning opportunities and are basic requirements for employment. Unfortunately, people of different social classes do not have equal access to this technology. The digital divide has consequences that extend beyond school.

Learning to integrate technology into the educational system will open up the possibility of a change of school as a means of providing new opportunities for students training.

This project contributes to the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

Our work contributes directly to target 4.1 of SDG 4, by improving secondary school results for boys and girls. In addition, students acquire relevant technical skills that will improve their employment prospects, thereby contributing to objective 4.4.

This project contributes directly to target 5.B of SDG 5, as we select schools that have a similar ratio of girls to boys and promote operating with equipment by both sexes, ensuring that 'no individual is excluded.

By providing several secondary schools with computer labs and assistive technology, enabling thousands of students to access information and communications technology, we are directly contributing to target 9.C of SDG 9.

The ICT equipment used in the projects is partly provided by companies; equipment is refurbished before being sent to projects. Therefore, this project contributes directly to target 12.5 of SDG 12, by reducing electronic waste and allowing the reuse of technology.

Integration of ICT in an educational context :

One of the main goals of our program is to promote an effective integration of ICT in the educational context in Africa though the physical and pedagogical integration.

Effective use of ICT as educational resources :

The second aim of the program is to provide teachers and students with the necessary training to enable them to effectively use IT tools in their educational and training environment.

Acquisition and maintenance of technologies :

The third goal of the project is required because the acquisition and maintenance of computer laboratories is necessary to stay in optimal operating condition.

Integrate the use of basic ICT tools into the standard school curriculum.

Use more sophisticated methodologies and technologies.

Acquire professional skills through the widespread use of technology and specific training.

Creation of digital learning hub and computer labs.
